Old Brookville, Long Island Tented Wedding

A Tented Wedding in Old Brookville, Long Island

As you’ve seen, tented weddings have become customary at this point, as 2020 made us all think outside the box...literally. We’ll let you in on a little secret: this gorgeous tented affair was not intended to be tented! Everything came together in a matter of months to bring these chic pink fairytale visions to life for the happy couple. How It All Began

To give you a background on the fabulous couple, Alexis + TJ, they knew of each other for a long time as the bride was actually friends with the groom’s younger brother! And what is a love story these days without the help of social media, am I right? It took one DM and a very cute puppy to get these two together and the rest is history!

The proposal was nothing short of extraordinary. The two started their forever looking out on NYC at the Rainbow Room balcony! This set the bar for our team to create a magical event fit for this pair. The original plan included 500 guests at an indoor venue, but COVID-19 had other plans.

The best way forward was to look no further than home! The couple decided to turn the bride’s family home into their ultimate wedding venue, customizable specifically for them! Once we had the new location we had to work with our amazing vendor team to mobilize the now full-build-out wedding in a few months.

Visions of Pink & Gold

The reception and wedding went by a soft pink and white color scheme, and the elements of the color scheme could be seen in the smallest details. You could spot the romantic and ethereal colors in the wedding bells being rung after the ceremony and all throughout the cocktail hour area, house, and reception tent.

As always, when one is working with light colors such as soft pink and white, there are some worries about it looking flat. We fixed that by adding greenery and gold details, two elements that helped bring out the exact look and feeling both we and the client were looking for. Ovando NY and Sandra did an amazing job of executing the design we were searching for and creating the feeling of ethereal mixed with romance without losing the uniqueness of the bride and groom.

On the day of the wedding, everything was up… and then it started to downpour! Once again, our amazing team came through! Early morning on event day, we were pushing rain out of the tents and drying the flooring. When we all came together to push through the weather (40 degrees and rainy in Spring!), we were able to execute the most beautiful pink oasis!

Once guests stepped into the tent, the outside world drifted away. Lively trees, cascading florals and greens made for the perfect fairytale feeling. Touches of gold complimented the candle and bistro lighting to truly make the space feel like out of a storybook!

The band was surrounded by florals to give the tent a true garden feeling. The centerpieces for the round tables were blossoming trees and the chandeliers were filled with draping floral for that organic fairytale feeling. Adding to the magic of the evening, Alexis & TJ had a dry ice effect for their first dance making for a true fairytale setting.

Cheers to the happy couple!

Their love filled the room - tent - making for a truly unforgettable night. It didn’t hurt, though, to cue a dry ice drop for a dreamy smoke effect on the dance floor for the couple’s first dance. This element was in the original plans at the venue; they did not want to change a single aspect, and we deliver on making dreams come true! Here’s to making a wedding as unique as your love, congratulations Alexis & TJ!
