Georgia and Mike were married on May 19th, 2018, in Brooklyn NY. They were one of the lucky couples to share a wedding date with the royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. They began their morning getting ready, Georgia at her parents house, Mike at his own home in Brooklyn. At half-past three in the afternoon, Georgia and Mike exchanged vows at Kimisis Theotokou Church in front of hundreds of friends and family. The pews overflowed as their loved ones eagerly sat or stood in the wings to see this beautiful couple become one, and then they showered them with confetti as they exited the quaint neighborhood staple.
The guests were invited to join in the continued celebration at Brooklyn Museum, an iconic NY establishment perfectly fit for Georgia & Mike’s 450 guests. As guests were escorted from the private first floor cocktail hour into the grand Beaux-Arts Court, they were greeted with beautiful white arrangements of varying heights and sizes and large green trees with hanging white florals. The room was lit in a soft plum and accented in the corridors with peachy amber light creating a warm, inviting glow and setting the tone for the night ahead.
What makes Georgia & Mike’s wedding so special is how it was filled with love, happiness and meaningful traditions. In the morning, our beautiful bride followed Greek tradition and wrote the names of the unmarried bridesmaids on the sole of her shoes in hopes of determining which of them will tie the knot next. In the evening, the guests lavished the couple with money as they danced in pure bliss. This money was later collected and, as per tradition, was given to the band as payment. At the end of the evening, the couple had a food truck come and serve desserts to guests as they exited the reception, making this wedding just a little sweeter and one to truly remember.
