Catskills New York Wedding

Rolling green fields and a charming rustic barn set the scene for this autumn wedding in the Catskills—

The bride and groom chose Hayfield, a charming countryside venue located in a picturesque mountain valley in the Catskills of New York, for their nuptials.

On the evening of the fall equinox, Carol and Nick tied the knot surrounded by their closest family and friends in a beautiful grassy field that sat between two ancient wild apple trees. Wearing a classic off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera dress, the bride was walked down a wildflower-lined aisle by her mother while the band played “Wild Horses” by the Rolling Stones.

“Walking down the aisle with my mother was so special; one of the best moments of my life,” Carol recalls. “She has been my biggest champion and support my entire life and sharing that walk with her was more meaningful than I can express.”

During the outdoor ceremony, officiated by Nick’s best friend from London, the couple read their own vows and sealed their marriage with a kiss before leading guests on a walk through the meadow and back to the barn for the cocktail hour and reception.

The sliding door entryway to the barn was encompassed by a lush arrangement of seasonal florals, while luminescent paper lanterns hung from the rafters of the lofted ceiling, creating a warm ambient light for the evening's festivities.

LLG Events transformed the space into an elegant and refined event within the rustic setting by incorporating natural elements with elevated accents and sophisticated designs.

"Carol and Nick's wedding was definitely one of the most memorable. A local organic apple farm closed to the public for the day so we could go apple picking and add the fresh picks to the guest’s welcome gifts for a weekend in Upstate, NY,” says the LLG team. “We loved working with new vendors such as Hayfield Catskills and Farmland Flowers, to execute an authentic Catskills wedding.”

The evening included a traditional, multi-course dinner serving seared peach salad and vegetable ash-rubbed strip steak catered by Purslane Catering; followed by decadent slices of the floral adorned four-tiered wedding cake by Made in Heaven for dessert.

The bride changed into a pink sequined Emilia Wickstead dress for a night of dancing, where the celebration continued into the early hours of the morning.

“Dexter Lake Club Band performed the entire evening and the dance floor was packed the whole night,” Carol added.
