Once Upon a Time in New York

Leeshy visited a college friend’s apartment as if it was just a regular day. Little did she know, it was not a regular day at all. And for Ben, sitting on the couch at said college friend’s apartment, it was not a regular day either. Far from it. This would be the day Leeshy and Ben found each other by chance and their love story began.

The proposal

It all started with a love for New York. For Leeshy + Ben, New York is non-negotiable. They love everything from the gritty subway to the glistening skyline. This called for a rooftop. Our team set out to find the perfect New York City rooftop with that charming view we all know and love that could capture the magnificent summer sunset. We landed on the Crown Rooftop at Hotel 50 Bowery, as it had the perfect private rooftop that we could personalize for Leeshy + Ben’s special moment. Ben helped us pinpoint Leeshy’s style, which is true New Yorker: her favorite colors are black and off-black. While we can get behind that, we knew too much would disrupt the sunset scene. The answer was highlights of black with tones that played on the sunset: light pinks, orange, blue, and ivory. And of course, there was a charcuterie board!

A Personal Touch

We needed every detail to radiate the love Leeshy + Ben share. This meant personal touches, like the custom hand-embroidered pillows with their saying “only you”. The Crown’s private rooftop also featured a neon sign, another love of Leeshy + Ben’s, against a hedge wall. We placed their seating area here, which made the best opening line to their next chapter as the neon sign read “I’ve been waiting for you”, continued on the pillows “only you”. It was truly Leeshy + Ben, and we were in tears at every moment! We love a good New York love story!
