Wall Street Wonderland

When you hire a wedding planner, you expect that all you’ve envisioned since you were young to come to life. But what if you never had a vision? What then? You turn to your wedding planner, of course! Here at LLG Events, we tackle not only the planning and management of your event but the design. We partner with the best floral designers to fully execute an event that is above and beyond anything that could have been dreamed.

Wall Street Wonderland

For one of our clients, this was exactly the case. She had no strong requests for her wedding design other than it needed to be epic. She was not the type to settle and neither are we. With a generous budget, we started to think. The wedding would be hosted at Cipriani Wall St., a historical ballroom with high ceilings and a lot of space to work with.

With our experience at Cipriani Wall St., we know that draping is key. And with the bride’s intimate guest count, 16 ft. draping allowed us to make the space feel intimate and romantic. The main floor would double as both the ceremony and reception space, so draping would also help us create two distinct but related looks.

Cutting-Edge Calls for Custom

Paired with the talents at Tantawan Bloom, we dreamt up a ceremony fully draped with candlelight and low-hanging cherry blossoms for a truly breathtaking escape from reality. When we were designing the ceremony space, we felt we were still missing something to make it something never-before-seen. Thinking about the moment when our bride would walk down the aisle, it seemed almost obvious. We needed a statement piece at the entrance. Not just any statement piece, something cutting edge - something custom.

Tantawan Bloom created a custom candle wall for our bride. The two walls were gilded in gold to reflect the warm light of the candles. The glow of the candles amplified the glow of our beautiful bride as she walked down the aisle.

From the ceremony to the reception, a lot of the elements were repurposed. The large cherry blossoms used to create the Chuppah were used to embellish the sweetheart table and round tables. Larger rectangular tables had smaller versions of the trees to tie the space together. Each centerpiece complimented the height of the space and captured eyes. Our favorite touches were the delicate hanging roses and candles throughout, making guests feel still captivated in a dreamscape.

More Mirror is Never a Bad Idea

The tables were nothing short of incredible, either. If there was one thing our couple loved, other than each other, it was mirrors. Incorporating reflective surfaces bounced light from the candles to the room, giving it an overall romantic but sexy mood. Again, we needed a never-before-done statement piece in the reception space. The answer is always gold - a gold dance floor was the perfect way to tie in the overall design. This unique piece was the perfect element to enhance the mood and tone of the room.

We didn’t try too hard with the floral tones and let the color palette be dictated by the candlelight.
